Charles Hale Hoyt, born in 1859, was a brilliant farcical comedy writer who entitled virtually every one of his plays beginning with A to bump his name to the top of whatever list he appeared on. He wrote his farces till he passed far too soon at the age of 41 in 1900. Please NOTE bottom left and right corners have been restored.
